UK offers alternate sources to abandoned Indian students

The London Campus of the Pune-Based TASMAC, which was offering MBA and other courses legalized by University of Wales, was closed last week due to strict visa rules on short duration courses.

UK government said it will accommodate the affected students to different colleges even though Indian government is planning every possible act for saving the students from the impact of sudden closure of the business school. University of Wales stated measures for shifting the affected students to other colleges are under progress. In a statement the University said, “The University has been in discussion with other collaborative centres to arrange for the transfer of 650 students at their institutions.”  It also said that the requirements of UK Borders Agency [UKBA] will be mattered for the transfer of these students.
The statement made by the University also included, “If students do have to leave the country for any reason the University will offer the opportunity to transfer them on to a distance learning programme.”
