Jason Kenny, Canada Immigration Minister said while introducing his plans to redesign and revitalize the work force of the nation and to have a winning edge in the international market Canada should mainly concentrate on attracting skilled, qualified and fluent immigrants. The Minister predicts for having a competent immigration process for coping with the problem of demographic disparity in Canada.
Jason Kenny in an interview said that the young applicants who are skilled, qualified and proficient in English or French will be given priority. Applications from such candidates will be immediately accepted by Canada immigration. He also said Canada has been always giving priority to the candidates who had Canada job offers.
The Minister expressed that the new move will boost the immigration of young qualified candidates to the country. He said the labor market of Canada is in very much need of skilled migrants and such move will help in enhancing the economy of the country. He assured that through this step the immigration system will become more flexible and the applicants will get entry to the country within 1 year of their application.
The minister said communication in either of the two official languages i.e. French and English is very important for successful integration of the newcomers in Canada. Hence immigration will mainly focus on language ability of the candidates.
