Cut off Threshold drops down to 440 – Express Entry #67
After the recent changes that IRCC has brought in on the scoring systems, the scores for the latest draw (Express Entry Draw #67) has dropped down to 440. This is a decrease of 9 points from the previous draw. A total of about 3202 applicants were invited.
After the revised scoring system, the threshold of Comprehensive ranking system CRS has temporarily increased to accommodate applications with French proficiency and siblings in Canada. However, scores are expected to be coming down keeping in view the huge shortage skilled for IT and other professional which needs to be addressed against the labour requirements.
As per the report published by Information and Communication Technology council (ICTC), Canada would require as much as 1,82,000 Skilled professionals by the year 2019. Provinces, with now an enhanced system of the Comprehensive ranking system CRS scores, are now able to recognize professionals suiting their needs from the Express Entry(EE).
Ontario, the popular and favourite destination amongst the immigrants, now is inviting applicants from Human Capital Priorities Stream, for candidates for scores less than 400.
Saskatchewan now has New Tech Careers Webpage that allows immigrants to know a huge range of tech-related jobs in the province. This ensures confidence and transparency amongst the immigrants to choose the destination of their interest.
With all these positive improvements, we are expecting the number of applications picked up from the pool to be increasing and threshold of points to be decreasing, in forthcoming draws.
