New jobs are created in US through the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Visa program. The immigrants with entrepreneurial skills have opportunity to immigrate to US under this visa and initiate start ups which result in creation of jobs in US. This US visa program was introduced by US government in 1990 and till now it has created around 31,000 jobs for Americans. Since its introduction, the visa has attracted around 3,000 immigrant investors resulting in $1.5 billion foreign investment for US. Under the EB-5 program, any foreigner having entrepreneurial skills and who can make investment in US is allowed to migrate to US and begin business there. The basic criteria to migrate under EB-5 visa are:

• Investment must be in a business, not a passive investment such as the stock market
• Invested funds must be individual's, but may be a gift from a parent or other person
• The business must have been created after November 29, 1990 or the investment must substantially change an older business
• The amount of investment may be $500,000 in a rural or high unemployment area

The immigrant investor successful to create 10 jobs in US within stipulated time is allowed to get permanent US Green Card; making the immigrant lawful US resident worker.
