Canada’s modified FSWP accepts applications from May 4th 2013

Posted on

Prospective immigrants for Canada Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) have already started preparation for visa application submission; CIC would start accepting applications from May 4th, 2013.

Some of the important changes that have been made to FSWP are:

  • CIC has put a cap on the number of visa applications for the first year
  • CIC has published list of occupations that are in demand in the country
  • CIC has named the designated organisations who would assess the applicant’s education

Canada Immigration has made significant changes to the FSWP program so that the skilled immigrants who come to Canada can settle in this foreign country with ease. These assessments would also ensure that the applicant is suitable to enter Canada’s labour market.
