How Opulentus deceived me with the Immigration procedure?
I and my friends were on a tour to Tamil Nadu’s Tanjavur district, I was seeing the great temple architecture of Big Temple built by the Raja Chola. It was a marvelous structure and we were busy cracking jokes on each other. I got a call from unknown number; they called me several times, as the signal strength was little low, my message box was filled with the number of calls from the unknown number.
I called the unknown number and I was bit surprised, I received permanent residence grant! Literally, I am deceived; Opulentus did not promise me the time.
I then recollected how badly I wanted to move to Canada quickly, I was looking for a Visa program that will help me in getting the Canada PR. Dejected with the failed attempts for the Australian permanent residence; I lost all the hope on the lengthy immigration procedures. There was no patience left in me to apply for the visa program.
And after three years, my immigration journey started with the strange note and the strange Facebook post. “Get Canada PR in just six months” Totally dejected with the Australian experience, I ignored the post. Suddenly I received a call from some Hyderabad-based consultancy named Opulentus. I told the counselor, that I had a bad experience with Australia Immigration and I do not want to apply for the Canada skilled visa program.
She called me several times and I was really fed up with her frequent calls and one day I made up myself on Saturday and move to the office. The counselor was polite she did not set me unrealistic expectations; she said that there is no time limit to apply for the Canada Express Entry and I can apply for the program anytime by creating the express entry profile.
I was not at all convinced, but the pre-assessment cleared my doubts, the consultant explained the comprehensive ranking system and the number of points I am going to gain as I have good English language score and I am not excellent but good at French. The software industrial experience and all the other criteria helped me to get the valid score.
Impressed with the systematic presentation of the point based system, I planned to choose the Opulentus service to apply for the Canada Express Entry Scheme. They did not promise me the time, I was busy doing my job, and suddenly I got a call from Opulentus that I missed my chance of getting invitation by just some 4 or 5 points. As failure is not new to me I was not surprised, they created me a hope, but I was not serious.
And now the news that I go PR and I can’t express how I feel. The rest of the journey from Tanjavur to Hyderabad was colorful and unimaginable journey.
All this is so unexpected, now I have to pack the bags little early. Planning was tough as I have to leave my homeland and friends unexpectedly and Opulentus really deceived me in this scenario.
Lastly it just took six months for visa processing.
