The 50 eligible occupations under Canada FSW Program 2014 include healthcare related occupations like registered nurses, registered psychiatric nurses, licensed practical nurses, physicians, family practitioners, occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, medical sonographers, medical radiation technologists, psychotherapists and so on. 1000 applications in each eligible occupation will be accepted under Canada FSW program.
To get qualified under Canada FSW Program, the applicant should have a minimum of one year work experience in an occupation that falls under the FSW occupation list. They are evaluated on the same basis as of 2013. Basically, points grid system is followed to assess the candidates considering factors like age, adaptability to the country, education, work experience, proficiency in languages. A minimum of 67 points out of 100 points should be attained by the candidate to get qualified under the FSW program. Applicants are expected to fulfill minimum language needs in either French or English.
In addition to the skilled workers, PhD holders and individuals with eligible job offers from employers based in Canada are also suitable for the FSW Program. Utmost 500 PhD applicants will be accepted under Canada FSW program. Any number of applicants with valid job offers is permitted under the program. With doors open for so many skilled workers, most healthcare professionals looking to move abroad are considering this as the right time to migrate to Canada.
