Canadian Tech business recommends “Start up Visa” program

With a view of making Canada a nation for the international business hub, the technology business in Canada is calling for “Startup Visa” scheme. Most of the countries with flexible immigration policies have managed to attract entrepreneurs, but Canada seems to lose them as it’s not putting any efforts for improving the economy. The advocacy group based in BC (British Columbia) said Canada should initiate programs to make the process of immigration simpler for overseas candidates possessing technical and scientific skills to enable them to establish a business in Canada. The group has appealed National government to approve “Startup Visa” bill. This bill is proposed for deducting the fund amount needed for overseas entrepreneurs to become Canadian residence. At present, the Fund amount is $300,000. It has also urged for reducing the required experience for foreign candidates to set up business in Canada. According to the proposal, the national government should decrease funds requirement for foreign entrepreneurs to $150,000 and also generate only 3 full-time jobs for 2 years while managing the organization. Countries like Singapore, UK, and Chile, have initiated simple immigration policies for attracting more overseas entrepreneurs, and Canada is far back in this competition. The US has also managed to attract foreign investors and has many technical & engineering companies set by the overseas entrepreneurs.
