How to Migrate to Australia For Skilled Workers?
Australia’s Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) and Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) are the two available visas for skilled workers who are intending to settle permanently in Australia
Australia Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190)
Important aspect of this visa
Skilled workers are nominated by the territory or the state government and are authorized to permanently reside in Australia.
They are assessed through a points-based test which includes factors such as age, proficiency in English language, employment, Educational Qualification and some other factors.
Requirements of Australian Skilled Nominated visa
A minimum of 60 points have to be attained to be invited to file the application for the visa.
An individual seeking Australian Immigration under this visa has to initially send an expression of interest and then be invited to apply. During the time the invitation is received, the applicant has to meet the following requirements:
- Nominated an occupation that is on the applicable list of skilled occupations
- Attained a skill assessment of the chosen occupation
- Maximum age has to be 49 years.
- Minimum proficiency in English language
Australia Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189)
Skilled workers for this visa are sponsored neither by the territory nor by the state government and not even by a family member or employer. This authorizes the individual to permanently settle in Australia.
Similar to Skilled Nominated Visa, an expression of interest has to be sent and upon meeting the minimum points requirement, the applicant will be invited to apply for this visa.
When the time the invitation is received, certain requirements have to be satisfied similar to the requirement of Skilled Nominated visa, except that the additional requirement of the applicant to be nominated by the state or the territory government is not valid.
